Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.

Who we are

Mr. Connect runs this website and the learning platform behind it. If you have a question about anything on this page, or you want a copy of your data, write to us through the contact details on this site.

What we collect

When you create an account we store your name, your email address, and the language you prefer the site in. Your password is never stored — only a one-way hash of it, which cannot be turned back into your password.

While you learn, we record which lessons you have finished and how far through a video you were when you stopped, so the next lesson picks up where you left off. We record which live sessions you have reserved a seat for.

For your subscription we store which plan you are on and the dates it runs between. We do not store your card number, and we never see it.

Like any website, our server keeps a short-lived session record that includes your IP address and which browser you are using. This is what keeps you signed in.

Cookies

We use cookies for three things, and none of them track you.

One keeps you signed in. One protects the forms on the site from being submitted by somebody else on your behalf. The last two remember the language and currency you chose, so you are not asked again every visit; those two last two years and you can clear them at any time in your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not let anybody else set cookies through our site.

Who else sees your data

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the seller of record. When you subscribe, they receive what they need to take the payment and issue your invoice. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, and nothing else.

Live sessions take place on Google Meet. When you join one, Google receives whatever you choose to share with it — your name and, if you turn them on, your camera and microphone.

Lesson videos are served by our video host. Loading a lesson tells them your IP address, as loading any file from any server does.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build a profile of you to sell to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your progress for as long as your account exists, because that progress is the thing you are paying for and it should still be there when you come back.

Ask us to delete your account and we will delete it, along with your progress and your reservations. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting reasons — an invoice, for example — are kept for as long as the law requires and no longer.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the contact details on this site and we will deal with it.

You can change your name, email and language yourself at any time from your settings page.

Children

This service is intended for adults and for learners old enough to manage their own account. If a child uses it, that should be with a parent or guardian who holds the account.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top.
